It started in Gem’s kitchen…
Over 15 years ago, I used my love of aromatherapy and obsessive research to make a completely natural balm to alleviate my mothers skin complaint and it worked.
Years on, the award winning balm has grown a loyal following and featured in a number of national magazines, newspapers and shops.
After taking a pause to focus on my new family, I am back, as of April 2024. Partly as we missed it ourselves and also the requests for more kept coming.
People like that it goes a long way and can be used almost anywhere on the body that is sore or needs nourishing.
Personal life…
In case you wanted to know a bit about me, when I’m not making balms, life has changed quite a bit since I first wrote this!
These days, my partner Rich, our daughter Evie and our brave Tibertan Terrier Moo are spending our time living aboard our boat and exploring the Mediterranean.
I’ve always been happiest around water and in nature, and I love sailing, yoga, walking, exploring new places and anything creative. Life on a boat certainly brings its challenges, but it has also given us the chance to slow down, connect together with nature and live a little differently.
I’m still very much the same Gem who started making balms in her kitchen all those years ago - just with a rather different life around her. And while some things about me haven’t changed, I’ve grown enormously along the way too. I think that’s one of the lovely things about life - we can keep becoming, without ever losing the bits of ourselves that matter.
